Born in Belém-Pará-Amazônia-Brazil, Cibelle J. Donza is a conductor and composer. Currently, she is an assistant conductor at the Ithaca College Symphony Orchestra, co-principal conductor and of Sinfonietta Orchestra and the Cornell Symphony Open Orchestra. Also, she was Assistant Conductor of the Symphonic Orchestra of the Theatro da Paz (OSTP) where she currently continues to conduct concerts with that orchestra as a guest conductor.
She conducted at the XXIX and XXX International Festival of Music of Pará (FIMUPA) and at the XVI International Festival of Opera of Pará. She also conducted the OFMG (Minas Gerais Philharmonic Orchestra) and OSUSP (Symphonic Orchestra of the University of São Paulo).
She is the principal conductor and artistic director of the Big Band Zarabatana Jazz Band since 2010 and acts in the collegiate of orchestras of the School of Music of the Federal University of Pará (EMUFPA), conducting the Paulo Keuffer Symphony Orchestra and the Altino Pimenta Symphony Orchestra.
As a composer, she signs her works as Cibelle Jemima and has had her symphonic compositions played by orchestras such as OSTP (Theatro da Paz Symphony Orchestra), OSMC (Municipal Symphony Orchestra of Campinas) and OSAP (Orquestra Sinfônica Altino Pimenta). There are also chamber works for trios, quartets, duos, and sextets, as well as acoustic and electroacoustic-mixed works. Cibelle signs the original soundtrack and sound design for the animated short film: O vôo do Beija-flor (the flight of the hummingbird). She is the coordinator of the EMUFPA Composition and Arrangement technical course.
