Brief comment on the work:

Programmatic work inspired by the poem:

"Simultaneous development of heat and light in a place of delightful cold nights,

crackling like someone dancing, in a little world of nights and lights, lots of lights...

Dance fire, dance!

Consume and erase every untruth spoken to you.

Be for yourself and for everyone else simply what you are: Fire!

Dance fire, dance! Set it on fire!

Be in silence... The fire that you are" (CJD)

It was commissioned and premiered by the OSTP (Theatro da Paz Symphony Orchestra) in 2017.

.

Recording: live by the Campinas Municipal Symphony Orchestra (OSMC) in 2018.

Late Silence

“Late Silence”

Year of composition: 2013

Classification: Acousmatic Music (concrete/electronic)

Brief comment on the work:

It was composed and premiered at the Winter Festival of the Veneto Valley (2013). It uses silence as a metaphor for a psychological state of suspension and passivity.

Three recordings of the Vale Vêneto soundscape were used. The editing/composition was done using Audacity software.

The video is merely a listening aid, added later by the composer.

Later, it was used as an underlying flow in the work "(________) write here your desire", premiered by the Altino Pimenta Symphony Orchestra in 2014.
